    Caption: No. 7 turbine and generator pictured with Turbine Operator, Val Baillargeon. The generator produces 3,000 Kilowatts of power and the turbine feeds five paper machines.

    Located at the Cascade Paper Mill boiler house and is still operational.

    The gentleman in this photo is my grandfather
    Validore “Val” Baillargeon. He worked in the camps with his father, Fortuna as a young man,
    working his way up to the mill shoveling coal.
    He was promoted to lead in the boiler room and
    was a vital part of opertions for many years.
    His job was to keep the turbines running,if not the mill shut down.
    A father of six children,who lost his wife at a young age.
