The gentleman in this photo is my grandfather
Validore “Val” Baillargeon. He worked in the camps with his father, Fortuna as a young man,
working his way up to the mill shoveling coal.
He was promoted to lead in the boiler room and
was a vital part of opertions for many years.
His job was to keep the turbines running,if not the mill shut down.
A father of six children,who lost his wife at a young age.
