    The picture was taken on Pleasant St., these are back of the building facing on Main St., starting from left to right the tall one only see the wall of that building was the Werthein Building built around 1898, now is Morin Shoe Store, then next to it was known as the New Gilbert Building that was built on the Wilson Homestead. It was the home of The Berlin Reporter from when Urban renewal of the 1960’s till 2008 when The Berlin Reporter moved its office to Lancaster N.H., now it will the site of the Tea Bird Rest. Over the roof you see the City Hall Clock on Main St., on the left these buildings have burned down in Feb. 1991 and Rite Aid Drugstore was built on the site now it is moved to corner on Mason and Pleasant St.
