I believe this shows two men working the capstan on the Androscoggin at what was called Bog Brook Trip, just north of the entrance to 13 Mile Woods. This capstan was on the lawn in front of the house that sat between the 2 Brown Co. barns when I moved to Berlin in 1978. Wonder where it is now?
