Looking north on Riverside Drive toward the Berlin Mills Bridge. The grass and lilacs along the road were maintained by Brown Co. There were several park benches along the way. My first job working for Brown Company was to take care of the grounds. Part of my daily routine was to walk from the main office up to Bridge Street (Berlin Mills Bridge) and pick up any debris on the grass. I often met my friends at one of the benches across from the Berlin Mills Fire Station.
