  J’ai appris, lors d’une visite à Sanmaur, le 3 novembre 2007, que cette église, construite, je crois bien, sous le règne du missionnaire oblat Édouard Meilleur, a été démolie au début des années 1990. La cloche, m’a-t-on dit, aurait été installée dans l’église de la réserve amérindienne de Wemotaci, sur la rive nord de la Saint-Maurice, juste en face de Sanmaur. Je mettrai bientôt dans mon carnet (je préfère ce terme à celui de “blogue”) sur Sanmaur et la région immédiate, dont j’ai entrepris la rédaction, des photos montrant la magnificience de la décoration de ce temple.

  J’y ai déjà inclus l’écusson de l’équipe de balle de la Brown Corporation, un artéfact sûrement très rare.

  Translation:
  I learned while on a visit to Sanmaur, November 3, 2007, that this church, built, I believe, during the reign of the Oblat missionary, Edouard Meilleur, was demolished at the beginning of the 1990’s.
