  Hôpital Un bien grand mot pour désigner cet humble dispensaire. Cette bâtisse était située tout à côté des logis occupés par les familles des employés de bureau de la Brown Corporation, à Sanmaur. Les soins d’urgence y étaient assurés par un infirmier, car il n’y avait pas toujours un médecin en poste au village. Je me souviens du docteur St-Onge, qui habitait le logis voisin du nôtre.
  J’ai d’autres illustrations de cette époque, oeuvres d’un photographe de la Brown, et que j’installerai bientôt sur un blogue consacré à mon enfance à Sanmaur.

  Odette Leclerc of the Berlin and Coos County Historical Society translates:

  “Hospital, a big word to designate this humble dispensary. This building was situated next to the homes occupied by the office personnel of the Brown Corporation at Sanmaur. Emergency Care was administered by a nurse because there was not always a doctor at this village. I remember doctor St. Onge, who lived next to us.

  I have other illustrations of this era, work of a Brown photographer, that I will be installing on a blog consecrated to my childhood at Sanmaur.”
