La petite église, que les francophones du Québec appellent “mitaine”*, une adaptation peu orthodoxe de l’anglais “meeting house”, fait toujours partie du décor de la rue Beckler, jadis la “rue des Anglais”, à La Tuque, où ne survivent que quelques édifices anciens. Heureusement! Je serais curieux de savoir combien de fidèles la fréquentent aujourd’hui, tandis que les temples catholiques sont désertés et même vendus dans certaines localités.

Translation:
This small church that the French speaking people call “mitaine / mitten” , an adaptation of the English “meeting house”, is still there on Beckler Street, also called “the English’s street” at LaTuque, where only a few of the ancient buildings survive.
